(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County detachment has charged a 23-year-old female after investigating an incident at a Queensway East, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Sunday, April 17, 2016 at approximately 1:48 p.m., police were called to the Real Canadian Superstore after receiving a complaint about a theft.
Through the course of investigation it was determined that a female removed approximately $800 dollars of merchandise from the store. Once outside, she fled to an awaiting vehicle which was located by patrolling officers. She was subsequently taken into custody without incident.
As a result of investigation, police have charged 23-year-old Ashley SKATER of Brantford, Ontario with theft under $5,000 and fail to comply with probation.
She is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
