SIU Invokes Mandate

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is currently investigating a collision that involved an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) at an East Quarter Line Road, Windham, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Saturday, May 9, 2015 at approximately 7:56 p.m., an officer was on patrol traveling south bound on East Quarter Line Road when an ATV was observed traveling north bound. The officer activated the emergency equipment on the police vehicle and the rider stopped.

The officer exited their vehicle and the rider of the ATV proceeded to reverse into the intersection of East Quarter Line Road and Windham Centre Road, causing the ATV to rollover. As result, the operator received serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
