(CITY OF TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) – On October 24, 2015 at approximately 1:45 p.m. members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 65 East, Casey Township.
The subject fled from The Timiskaming First Nation Police and Sûreté du Québec Police while in the Province of Quebec and entered Ontario where he was involved in a collision. Through investigation, the 35-year-old driver was apprehended for several offences. He was transported to the hospital by The District of Temiskaming Ambulance Service where he was treated and released for minor injuries.

Possession of Firearm contrary to Prohibition Order – section 117.01(1) CC (two counts)
Fail to Comply with Probation Order – section 733.1(1) CC
Charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) with:
Possession of a Schedule II Substance (Cannabis Marihuana) – section 4(1) of the CDSA
Charged under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) with:
Driving While Under Suspension – section 53(1) of the HTA (two counts)
Use Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle – section 12(1)(d) of the HTA
The accused will appear for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on October 26, 2015.
