Impaired Man Found Hiding In Ditch After Collision

(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On October 25, 2015 at 7:57 p.m. the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the Bruce County Emergency Medical Services, responded to a single motor vehicle crash on Sideroad 15, between North Diagonal Road and Centre Diagonal Road, in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.

A white 2014 Ford F150 was driving southbound on Sideroad 15 when the vehicle left the roadway, entering the west ditch, driving through a farm fence and striking a hydro pole; disrupting the electric power supply to near-by residences.

Bruce Peninsula OPP officers located the intoxicated 28-year-old male hiding in the ditch near his 2014 Ford F150. The driver received medical attention which was determined to be minor non-life threatening injuries.

Warren STOTT, from South Bruce Peninsula, has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Fail or Refuse to Provide a Breath Sample, 3 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order; contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC). He was further charged with 2 counts of Possessing Schedule II Substance-hash oil and marihuana; contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).

He was held for a bail hearing in Owen Sound, on October 26, 2015 to answer to the charges.
