(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On Friday March 20th, 2015, at approximately 6:50pm Quinte West OPP responded to a theft complaint at a business on 2nd Dug Hill Road in Trenton. A male was observed by store employees leaving the store without paying for a vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner was valued at approximately $50.00. The male returned to the business a short time later to return the stolen item in exchange for a store gift card. The suspect was located by Police a short time later walking on Dundas Street West.
Shaun BROUGHTON, 36, of Trenton has been charged with Theft under $5000. The accused was arrested and released on a Promise to Appear with a court date on April 16th, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
