On December 1st, 2014 at 4:04 pm, officers conducting a R.I.D.E. spot check in the area of King Street and Winston Churchill Road. The officers observed as a vehicle attempted to evade the spot check and the officers pursued the vehicle to conduct a vehicle stop and check on the driver’s sobriety. Upon speaking with the driver, the officers determined that he was under the influence of alcohol. The officers demanded the driver produce a sample of his breath into a roadside screening device. The male registered a fail and was transported to Detachment. Desmond CAIRNS, 51, from Brampton was arrested and charged with Over 80.
On December 4th, 2014 at 1:08 am, an officer conducted a vehicle stop on Mayfield Road and Torbram Road. Upon speaking with the driver, the officer determined that he was under the influence of alcohol. The officers demanded the driver produce a sample of his breath in an approved roadside screening device. The male registered a fail and once his medical condition was cleared; he was transported to Detachment for testing. Surat ATWAUL, 56, from Caledon was arrested and charged with Over 80.
On December 5th, 2014 at 1:42pm, information was received about a possible impaired driver in a Village of Bolton commercial parking lot. The officers located the suspect vehicle exiting the Beer Store parking lot. The officers conducted a vehicle stop to check on the driver’s sobriety. During the vehicle stop, the officers determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Luigi CIMINO, 57, from Caledon was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Over 80.
