(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment, Norfolk Count Fire Services and Norfolk County Paramedics responded to a serious two vehicle collision on Highway 24 north of Waterford, Ontario.
On Monday, March 31, 2014 at approximately 4:42 p.m., a Chevrolet vehicle being operated by 54 year old Henry JONEIT of Brant County, Ontario was travelling northbound on Highway 24 when a ford pick-up truck being operated by 55 year old William CAMPBELL of Norfolk County, Ontario travelling southbound collided.
The driver of the Chevrolet was taken to a local area hospital and was treated for serious non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the pick-up truck was treated and released on scene.
Highway 24 between Concession 7 and Concession 8 was closed for approximately two hours to allow for investigation.
The investigation is continuing.
