North At the 18April2016 North Huron council meeting, they unapologetically admitted they outsourced our water and sewer department to a company because they like who works for that company. This is a typical Old Boys Club move. The Public is left in the dark while major decisions about our Municipality are done behind closed doors, and those that are blindly loyal are rewarded with very lucrative long-term “no tender contracts”.

Council decided in a closed meeting to outsource our water and sewer department, to a company of their choosing. Normally expenses over $5000 have to be tendered to avoid such abuses of power and to ensure the Public is informed. They banned Public and Press questions, refused to get pricing from anyone else, and locked North Huron Taxpayers into a 5 year deal.

All those we have polled this morning think what has been done is highly illegal, and a criminal investigation should commence.
