(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) – On Tuesday April 19, 2016, shortly after 5:30 a.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a collision on Perth Line 86 east of Perth Road 140 (east of Listowel).
Investigation indicated that a west bound Acura sedan was following a tractor trailer feed truck along Perth Line 86. The Acura crossed over into the east bound lane and continued onto the south shoulder where the driver lost control of the vehicle. The Acura entered the south ditch where it rolled and came to rest in an upright position.
The 3 male occupants of the Acura were transported to a local hospital where they were treated for their minor injuries. The 20-year-old male driver of the Acura a Kitchener resident has been charged with the Highway Traffic Act offence of “careless driving”.
Perth Line 86 between Road 136 and Perth Road 140 was closed from 6 a.m. until 6:45 a.m. to allow for the investigation of this collision and the safe removal of the vehicle.
