School Bus Driver Hit In Drive By Shooting

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated an act of mischief at a Thompson Road East, Waterford, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Friday, September 25, 2015 at approximately 3:45 p.m., a school bus was travelling on Thompson Road East between Duncombe Road and Cockshutt Road when unknowns began to shoot paint balls at the bus.

The paint balls struck the vehicle which caused the paint to spread into the driving area of the bus striking the drivers clothing and hair. The driver was startled and was able to safely stop the school bus without being involved in a collision.

This is a very dangerous act that had the potential to cause a collision and injury to the operator of the vehicle.

A suspect vehicle was observed fleeing from the area and was described to police as a silver coloured Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).

The OPP is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. If anyone has any information they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
