(COBALT, ON) Members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an erratic driving complaint on October 18, 2013 at approximately 12:47 a.m.
Police located the suspect vehicle on Silver Street. Upon checking the status of the driver, the 25-year-old male was arrested. Further investigation resulted in several charges.
Ryan WRIGHT of Dymond Township is charged with:
Impaired Driving by Drug – section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
Unauthorized Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Weapon – section 91(2) of the Criminal Code
Carry Concealed Weapon – section 90 of the Criminal Code (two counts)
Possession of Marihuana – section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Possession of Methamphetamine – section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
The accused will appear in Haileybury Ontario Court of Justice on December 13, 2013.
