Cyclist Strikes Car Door

On October 22, 2013 at 8:23 a.m., the Guelph Police attended to Norfolk Street in front of the Guelph Public Library for a collision between a cyclist and a motor vehicle. Investigation alleges that the cyclist was riding past the parked motor vehicle when one of the doors was opened in front of him causing the cyclist to strike the door. The cyclist reported minimal injury and did not need medical attention. The responsible occupant in the motor vehicle has been charged with opening of doors of motor vehicle” under the Highway Traffic Act.”
