(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On April 18, 2015 at approximately 7:20 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle after observing an infraction regarding the driver. While speaking to the driver police observed signs of alcohol consumption.
A Roadside Screening Device test was conducted which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and transported to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.
The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days as per statute.
Ryan LIZOTTE (22) of Guelph Ont. has been charged with Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on April 28, 2015 to answer to the charge.
A passenger in the vehicle Joshua THOMPSON (22) of Guelph Ont. was also arrested and charged with fail to comply with undertaking. He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court May 22, 2015 to answer to the charge.
