(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON.) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Kirkland Lake Detachment have charged a local man with drug offences. The charges stem from the investigation of illegal drug related activities in the Kirkland Lake area. It culminated in the arrest of an individual on Government Road East in Kirkland Lake.
Seized as a result of the investigation were methamphetamine pills, cocaine and cash. The estimated value of the seizure is approximately $3,000. The incident occurred at approximately 1:00 p.m. on December 15, 2015.
Charged is Ryan CARLSON age 28 of King Kirkland, Ontario with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Obstruct Peace Officer and Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose. The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on January 28, 2016.
