(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Yesterday, December 16, 2015 the City of Kawartha Lakes Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the OPP Drug Enforcement Unit and the Kawartha Lakes Police Service Drug Unit while conducting an ongoing investigation arrested a wanted party that had been evading capture.
Jack GONEAU, 47 years of age, of Norland was arrested on outstanding charges that included fail to attend court. In addition he is charged with the following offences:
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
The accused was held for a bail hearing at Lindsay Court.
