(Hwy# 37 Belleville, ON) – On February 8, 2014 at 8 p.m. members of Central Hastings O.P.P. were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway # 37, approximately 1 km north of Harmony Road in the City of Belleville.
On arrival the vehicle was located in the west ditch with the engine running and the driver asleep behind the wheel. After multiple attempts the officers were able to rouse the driver. The investigation revealed the driver had been consuming alcohol.
As a result the driver 43 year old Ross WOOD of Belleville, ON was arrested and charged with Care or Control While Impaired. His driver’s licence was suspended and his vehicle was impounded. WOOD will appear in Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville in early March 2014.
