Roger KING – Careless Driving

(CALLANDER, ON) – On Tuesday February 2, 2016 at approximately 11:45p.m, the North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was patrolling Highway 11 at the Wasi North Ministry of Transportation (MTO) Scales. OPP noticed a south bound vehicle enter the MTO scale in order to pass a snow plow that was also south bound on Highway 11. The snow plow operator had to break in order to avoid a collision when the vehicle re-entered the highway.

OPP stopped the vehicle and charged the male driver Roger KING, 48 of North Bay with careless driving, contrary to section 130 of the Highway Traffic Act.

OPP would like to remind motorists that snow plow operators are clearing the roads in order to make it safe for everyone to travel the highways. Please be patient and give yourself enough time when travelling to reach your destination safely.
