(LAKESHORE, ON) The Essex County OPP Crime Unit is currently investigating a robbery that occurred on January 25th, 2015 in the Town of Belle River. At approximately 10:45 pm on this date, a male party entered a convenience store located in the 400 block of Notre Dame Street. The male produced a weapon and demanded that the victim open the till and give the suspect money. The suspect received an undisclosed sum and exited the store.
Lakeshore OPP, Essex County OPP canine, and ERT (Emergency Response Team) were on scene within minutes and searched the area with negative results.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5’7†– 5’8â€, 140 – 150 pounds, average to thin build, wearing a black jacket, black pants, black running shoes with white soles and laces, black gloves and a black balaclava covering his face.
