(ESSA, ON) As a result of an ongoing investigation, the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) OPP drug enforcement unit executed a search warrant on a motor vehicle that was involved in a collision on the 3rd of September 2013 in the Township of Essa.
At the time the lone male occupant was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant which was held by the City of Barrie. During the execution of the warrant, Nottawasaga OPP Officers located 77 grams of crack cocaine with an estimated street value of over $7000.
Charged with is 48 year-old Richard NELSON of Oshawa, he has been charged for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, he is currently in custody pending a bail hearing.
