(ATHOL WARD, ON) – On September 5th, 2016 at approximately 3:28 AM, members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were investigating a traffic complaint when officers observed a vehicle attempting to execute a curved portion of the roadway at a high rate of speed. The officer proceeded to pull over and observed the same vehicle make a U-turn travelling back towards them. The officer caused the vehicle to be stopped and upon investigating, determined that the driver had been drinking alcohol prior to driving.
30 year old Richard MOORE of Hamilton, ON has been charged with Driving with More than 80mg of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood. He was released on a Promise to Appear. He was also served with a 90 day ADLS driver’s license suspension. He is due to appear in the Provincial Court of Justice, Picton ON October 12th, 2016.
