(ATHOL WARD, ON) – On September 3rd, 2016 at approximately 7:57 PM, members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint regarding a vehicle that had just left Sandbanks Provincial Park. Information received was of a male driver believed to be intoxicated driving his vehicle out of the park. Just after 8:00PM, police observed the vehicle travelling northbound on Highway 62 and caused the vehicle to be stopped. After an investigation, officers determined that the driver had been drinking alcohol prior to driving.
53 year old Ganeshanathan ARULANATHAM of Markham, ON has been charged with Driving with More than 80mg of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood. He was released on a Promise to Appear. He was also served with a 90 day ADLS driver’s license suspension. He is due to appear in the Provincial Court of Justice, Picton ON October 12th, 2016.
