(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment has charged a 25 year old male after investigating an incident at a Walker Street, Port Dover, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Sunday, August 16, 2015 at approximately 5:44 p.m., police were called by concerned members of the public after a male was observed removing property from the beach area.
The owners of the property confronted the male who immediately fled on foot with the owners following. The male was located and held while police were contacted.
As a result, police arrested and charged 25-year-old Rasheed SYED of Brantford, Ontario with theft under $5,000 and being intoxicated in a public place.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charge.
