RACE AGAINST DRUGS PRESCOTT-RUSSELL

(Hawkesbury, ON) Students in and around the United Counties of Prescott & Russell will join hundreds of their peers for the fourteenth annual Racing Against Drugs (RAD) week. The event is set to kick off on April 29th at 9:30am at the Robert Hartley Sports Complex in Hawkesbury.

The event will run from Tuesday April 29th until Friday May 2nd at 11:30am

This bilingual community-based drug and alcohol prevention program uses the sport of car racing to teach the importance of saying “NO” to drugs. Our goal is to capture the attention of young people and to demonstrate the benefits of living a drug free lifestyle. The event is offered to over 800 grade 6 students of the area.

The organizing committee includes: Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Ontario Provincial Police, P&R Paramedic Services, Eastern Ontario Health Unit, Communities That Care, Dupuis Ford Lincoln Casselman, Patenaude Martial Arts and Le Centre de Santé communautaire de l’Estrie.
