Psychopath(s) Throwing Cans Of Soda Pop At Transport Trucks Sends One To Hospital

(EAST ZORRA-TAVISTOCK TOWNSHIP, ON.) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating three separate incidents where truck drivers had items thrown at their windshields while driving near Tavistock in East Zorra-Tavistock Township.

The first incident occurred on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 10:35 p.m. while the transport truck was driving on Perth-Oxford Road near the Tavistock town limits.

The second incident occurred on Thursday, April 4, 2017 at 10:14 p.m. while another transport truck was driving on Perth-Oxford Road near the Tavistock town limits.

The third incident occurred on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 7:19 a.m. while yet another transport truck was driving on Perth-Oxford Road between 17th line and 18th Line.

In all the incidents, it is suspected that unknown suspect(s) threw a full can of soda pop intentionally out of the window of their vehicle while passing the transport trucks. All three transport trucks had their windshields shattered/cracked and had to come to a sudden stop. These incidents could have had serious and/or fatal consequences.

OPP believe that all three incidents are likely related and were intentional.

In one case the driver of the transport had to seek medical attention to remove glass from his eyes. The Oxford OPP Scenes of Crime officers were called in to collect evidence and the investigation is continuing.

OPP would like the public to be made aware of the dangerous actions of these suspect(s) and for all of the motoring public in the area of Perth-Oxford Road (Hope Street) to drive with extra care and report any and all suspicious behavior to police immediately.
