(Renfrew County, Ontario) – On February 3rd 2014, members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) – Project Paradigm and Renfrew OPP Detachment initiated a traffic stop on O’Brien Road in the Town of Renfrew (ON) resulting in the seizure of a significant amount of cocaine.
Police seized approximately two (2) ounces of cocaine and 1 Fentanyl patch.
The projected street value of the seized drugs is estimated at approximately $4,000.00.
Kyle DELORME (28) and Joey LAFONT (32) were arrested and charged with the following:
Possession of Schedule I (cocaine) for the purpose of Trafficking C.D.S.A. Section 5(2)
Joey LAFONT was charged with Failing to comply with his Probation order Section 733.1(1) CC for two counts.
Kyle DELORME was charged with Failing to comply with conditions of his Undertaking by an Officer in Charge Section 145(5.1) CC
Kyle DELORME and Joey LAFONT were both held for a bail hearing. They are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice of Ontario in Pembroke, (ON) on February 4th 2014.
