(DRUMMOND NORTH ELMSLEY TWP, ON) – Officers from the Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police are currently investigating a possible drowning in Drummond North Elmsley Twp. On Friday August 12th at approximately 10:30am Lanark County OPP officers were called investigate the incident on Narrows of the Rideau Canal System.
Lanark County OPP Officers attended to find that a 24yr old man from Richmond Hill, Ontario had died. The investigation is ongoing in conjunction with the Lanark County OPP Detachment, Lanark County OPP Marine Unit and the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit.
The name of the victim will not be released at this time.
Investigation is ongoing.
