(ELGIN COUNTY, ON) – Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged two London Ontario men with theft after they entered and stole a large quantity of alcohol from the LCBO in Port Stanley, Central Elgin yesterday October 6, 2013.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:47ppm when two males entered the Port Stanley LCBO, which was open at the time, and filled two shopping baskets full of alcohol products and then left the store without paying for the items. A store employee observed the males leaving the store called 911 with a description of the males and the vehicle they were driving.
Elgin OPP officers located and stopped the suspect vehicle a short time later on Sunset Road at Fruit Ridge Line, Central Elgin. As a result of the investigation police recovered approximately $1300 in alcohol.

Darcy Ronald WOODRUFF, age 27 from London Ontario with;
Theft Under $5000
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
Impersonation
Adam Wade ALEXANDER, age 29, from London Ontario with;
Theft Under $5000
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
Driving while Disqualified
Failing to Comply with a Probation Order
Both men have been held in custody pending a show cause bail hearing to be held this date, October 7, 2013.
