(ESSA)- On July 1, 2014 at pm, the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a 911 call at 8:04 pm to attend an Edenbridge Road address in Essa Township for a male being chased by another male with a handgun.
Police attended the area and began an intensive investigation where there were many allegations of a handgun and the unsafe use of a handgun.
After a thorough investigation, the OPP have charged the complainants, a 15 year old male and his 14 year old sister from Clearview Township. The youth are each charged with one count of Mischief and one count of Criminal Harassment.
The names of the youth will not be released under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
A charge of Mischief is pertinent anytime Police are led into a false investigation.
