(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is investigating a Break and Enter at a Norfolk Street North, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Saturday, February 22, 2014 at approximately 10:35 p.m., police responded to an alarm at Burtol Cleaners. Through investigation it was determined that unknowns gained entry in the business however nothing appeared to have been taken.
Approximately $500 dollars in damage was reported and the OPP are reminding all residents that if they see anything suspicious to contact police immediately.
The Norfolk County OPP Detachment is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
The OPP recognize that break and enters continue to remain an all-too common occurrence in Canada, with more than 200,000 reported to police annually of which 6 in 10 are residential. Another 30% are businesses and 10% are other locations such as sheds and detached garages.
