POLICE INVESTIGATE TWO SEPARATE MOTORCYCLE COLLISIONS

(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Sunday, September 28, 2014 at approximately 2:52 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the scene of a motorcycle collision on Grey Rd. 30 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

The driver of a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle lost control of the bike while attempting to negotiate a curve on Grey Rd. 30 near Grey Rd. 13. The victim, age 56, from New Dundee, Ontario, was transported to hospital where he was treated and released for minor injuries.

In a separate incident, police responded to a motorcycle collision on Grey Road 1 between Bruce Caves Rd. and Colpoy’s Range Rd., in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

At approximately 3:05 p.m., the driver of a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle lost control of the bike when he failed to negotiate a curve. The bike went into the ditch and the driver was ejected. The 73 year old victim from Saugeen Shores was transported to a local hospital and then air lifted to a London hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

No charges are anticipated in either incident.
