(Bancroft, Ontario) – At approximately 6:54 p.m. on Sunday the 28th of September 2014, the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a motor vehicle collision on Highway 62, just east of Moxom Road in the Municipality of Hastings Highlands.
Investigation into the incident revealed that a Ford pickup truck had entered the ditch. The driver, a 70 year old male of Brudnell-Lyndoch-Raglan Township was pronounced deceased at the scene. The cause of the crash was related to medical issues.
The passenger, a 56 year old female of Brudnell-Lyndoch-Raglan Township was transported to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.
