Police Identify Two Deceased Parties Recovered From Mississauga Pond

Mississauga – On Friday November 4, 2016, Halton Regional Police commenced a missing person investigation involving two adult male brothers who were last seen in the area of Tenth Line and Thomas Street in the City of Mississauga.

On Tuesday November 8, 2016, at 2:22pm, Halton Regional Police located a motor vehicle submerged in a pond in the area Ninth Line and Thomas Street in the City of Mississauga. With the assistance of the Peel Regional Police Marine Unit, a Silver BMW was recovered from the pond. During a further search of the pond, two deceased persons were also recovered from the water.

On November 10, 2016, autopsies were conducted and the deceased have been identified as the two missing brothers, 22 year old Hamza KHAN and 20 year old Shah Rukh KHAN from the Town of Oakville. The cause of death for both was determined to be drowning. The autopsies also revealed no other signs of trauma.

Investigators do not believe that there are other vehicles involved with this incident.
