R.I.D.E. Spot Checks

(Innisfil, ON) South Simcoe Police conducted a R.I.D.E. spot check last night, on the 7th Line in Alcona. Over 100 cars were stopped, 2 drivers were tested at the roadside and both passed.

While pleased with this result, we remind the public that impaired driving is still the number one cause of criminal death in Canada. We will continue to operate R.I.D.E. spot checks year round in an effort to educate drivers on the dangers of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and to reduce impaired driving on our roads. We strive to have the safest roads in Canada. You can help by calling 9-1-1 if you suspect an impaired driver.
