(MUNCIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continue to investigate a fire which occurred at an abandoned farm house on Grey Road 31 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands on Sunday, September 7, 2014.
At approximately 1:30 a.m. on September 7th, police were called after neighbours observed a glow coming from within the abandoned farmhouse. They were able to extinguish the small fire inside the residence prior to the fire department’s arrival.
Evidence at the scene suggested that the fire was deliberately started by unknown person(s).
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office was notified.
