Police Contacted After Well Contaminated With Diesel and Motor Oil

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment is investigating an act of mischief at a Charlotteville Road 7, Charlotteville, Norfolk County, ON address.

On Friday, August 2, 2013, at approximately 10:26 am, police were contacted by concerned homeowners. Investigation revealed that between October 2012 and August 2013, unknowns attended the residence and contaminated a well that was located on the property.

Police were contacted after the home owners completed water tests which found that the well had been contaminated with diesel fuel and motor oil.

The OPP are seeking the public’s assistance with this investigation and anyone with information is asked the Norfolk County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

The OPP want to remind all residents that if they see anything suspicious to please contact the police. If anyone is found committing acts of mischief, appropriate charges will be laid.
