POLICE CONTACTED AFTER TOBACCO FIELD DAMAGED 2013-07-26

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment is investigating acts of mischief at a Croton Avenue, Delhi, Norfolk County, ON address.

On Thursday, July 25, 2013, at approximately 12:03 pm, unknowns attended the address and entered a tobacco field. The unknowns then began to damage several tobacco plants.

At approximately 8:50 pm, several youths were observed walking through the tobacco field and damaging plants as they were walking. The youths fled into a wooded area after realizing that the owner was in the field.

The total amount of damage is estimated at approximately $500 dollars.

The OPP want to remind all residents that if they see anything suspicious to please contact the police. If anyone is found committing acts of mischief, appropriate charges will be laid.
