Police Ask For Public’s Assistance – Illegal Hunting

Pembroke/Renfrew County Crime Stoppers and Ministry of Natural Resources are asking for the publics’ assistance in solving a report of illegal hunting.

Sometime between the 20th and 24th of October 2014 a cow moose was shot and left in a cut out area on Crown Land off of Opeongo Road in Brudenell Twp.

Every hear hunters locate the rotting carcasses of unlawfully shot and abandon moose – these are moose that are lost to honest hunters and to the tourist industry that relies on healthy moose populations.

Crime Stoppers Pembroke/Renfrew County believes that someone may have information that could assist police in solving this crime. If you have information on any criminal offence that results in charges being laid, you qualify for an award of up to $2,000.00.
