Pickup Truck Enters Lake Huron Update – Name Of Deceased Released

(LAKE HURON, ON) – On January 2, 2016 at 9:03 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report that a pick-up truck entered the waters of Lake Huron from the north pier at the Kincardine Harbour. Officers attended the scene with members of the Municipality of Kincardine fire department and located the pick-up truck in the water.

Shortly after 4:00 p.m. on January 2, 2016, the truck was removed from the water. The driver has been identified as Fifty-near-year old Terry HUNTER of Kincardine. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The truck was turning when it slipped into the waters of Lake Huron. Investigators have determined that foul play is not suspected.
