(PLYMPTON- WYOMING, ON)- On July 12, 2016 at approximately 7:45 a.m. the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the east bound lanes of the 402 Highway east of Oil Heritage Road, Plympton- Wyoming to investigate a single motor vehicle collision.

Investigation revealed that a 2006 Dodge Ram pick-up truck had been towing a loaded flatbed trailer east bound on the 402 Highway. Allegedly, the trailers tires locked up causing the trailer and pick- up truck to lose control. As a result, both the pick- up truck and trailer entered the median and flipped several times.

The pick-up truck contained 5 passengers. All 5 suffered minor injuries. One of the 5 passengers attended the hospital to be assessed. The OPP and the MTO continue to investigate as to the condition of the trailer and the affixed load prior to the collision. The passing lane of the 402 Highway was closed for approximately 2 hours and has since been re-opened.
