Perry Nathan LEYTE – Drunk Driving

(CALEDON, ON) On Thursday, September 5th, 2013, an officer from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on general patrol travelling eastbound on Old School Road approaching Dixie Road. The officer observed beige Kia Magenta travelling westbound and a check of the vehicle’s licence plate revealed that the driver was suspended from driving. As a result, the officer turned his marked cruiser around to stop the motor vehicle. The officer approached the motor vehicle and upon speaking with the male driver, the officer detected a strong odour of an alcoholic beverage on his breath.

As a result of the traffic stop, 45-year old Perry Nathan LEYTE, was arrested and charged with Over 80 mgs of alcohol and Driving While Under Suspension.

The driver was given a further licence suspension under the Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on September 26, 2013.
