(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On February 15 2014 at approximately 5:45 a.m. members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an attempt theft of a motor vehicle on James Street in the Town of Parry Sound. The suspect fled on foot from the scene. Moments later, the suspect was located and arrested by police on William Street.
Patrick WHEESK, 22 years of age from Parry Sound was charged with the following:
– Attempt Theft Under $5,000 of a Motor Vehicle, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)
– Attempt Theft Under $5,000 from a Motor Vehicle, contrary to the CCC
– Trespassing at Night – 3 Counts, contrary to the CCC
– Possession of Break In Instruments, contrary to the CCC
– Being Intoxicated in a Public Place, contrary to the Liquor Licence Act (LLA)
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
