(TWEED, ON) – On February 15, 2014 at 9 p.m. officers of Central Hastings O.P.P responded to a domestic dispute on Sulphide Road in the Municipality of Tweed involving common-law spouses. The investigation revealed that during an argument the male resident damaged several pieces of property within the home and prevented the female from calling police. The male was also found to be in possession of several firearms.
As a result the 28 year old male of Tweed, ON was arrested and charged with Assault, Unsafe Storage of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm while Prohibited and two counts of Mischief.
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing today at Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville.
