(COLLINGWOOD, ONTARIO) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a female driver with drinking and driving offences after receiving a traffic complaint.
On the 25th of February 2014 shortly before noon, police received a call about a possible impaired driver on Highway 26 near Poplar Sideroad. Police located the vehicle and upon speaking to the driver it was found that she was under the influence of alcohol. She was subjected to a roadside breath test which resulted in a ‘fail’ reading and as such she was arrested and transported to Collingwood detachment for processing.
Charged is 44 year-old Patricia MILES of Clearview Township, she is facing charges of driving while ability impaired and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood. She is to appear in Collingwood court on the 11th of March 2014.
