Thursday morning the Owen Sound Police were contacted by a 39 year old male victim advising that he been assaulted and robbed while in his apartment. It appears that in the early morning hours an 18 year old female who the victim had earlier knowledge of, started up communication with the victim which lead to this female party eventually being invited to the victims residence in Owen Sound. To the victims surprise this female did attend but in the company of a 26 year Owen Sound man. The couple were invited in; a short time after the male made demands to the victim for his bank card and his password. Initially refusing to turn over his property the victim was assaulted, his bank card and password was then obtained along with other property from his residence before the couple left.
The victim did not substance any injuries that required medical treatment.
Officers were able to determine the true identity of both of the suspects who are known to police to be involved in the drug subculture. The 18 year old female was later located by police and arrested without incident. Charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling, robbery and possession of stolen property; she is being held for a bail hearing Friday morning.
The Owen Sound Police are actively looking for the second suspect, 26 year old assailant who currently remains outstanding. A warrant is being sought for his arrest for the charges of being unlawfully in a dwelling, robbery, and failing to comply with his probation order (two counts). It is not believed that this male party poses an immediate threat to the general members of the public.
