(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit has laid charges in connection to a November robbery in Blackburn Hamlet.
On November 16, 2013, at approximately 9:30 pm, a lone female was walking along Innes Rd when she was accosted by two male suspects, one armed with a knife. The suspects demanded she turn over her cash and phone. The suspects fled with the victim’s phone. There were no injuries sustained in this matter.
Two suspects have now been charged in connection with this case, a youth and an adult. Lodone HASSAN, age 19 of Ottawa, has been charged with robbery, 5 counts of breach of undertaking, and possession of a schedule II substance. Mr. Hassan remains in custody and appears in court next on Dec 16, 2013. A 15-year-old youth, also of Ottawa, has been charged with robbery in connection to this matter. He was released from custody and will appear in Youth Court on January 14, 2014.
