(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TWP, ON) – On Thursday October 24, 2013 at approximately 4:55 pm, an officer from Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was responding to a three vehicle collision with injuries on Wellington County Road 124, Guelph-Eramosa Township. The officer was driving westbound on the paved shoulder of Wellington County Road 124 in a 2009 fully marked Chevrolet Tahoe with emergency lights activated due to traffic congestion. A female driver age 65 from Cambridge was eastbound in a 2010 Ford Flex and turned left into a private driveway colliding with the police vehicle.
Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported the female to Guelph General Hospital with minor injuries.
Wellington County OPP Traffic Management Unit (TMU) is investigating this collision.
