(NORTH BAY, ON) – The North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was notified of a theft at a local business in Rutherglen, Ontario, on June 29.
A local business person advised that they had closed their business on Saturday June 28 at 6:00 p.m. and opened it on Sunday June 29 at 9:00 a.m.. When staff opened the business on June 29, they did not notice anything out of place. It wasn’t until at approximately 4 p.m. when the owner went into his office that he noticed a large quantity of money was missing.
OPP attended Gagne’s Red and White in Bonfield Township and spoke with the owner. The owner advised nothing appeared to be disturbed and he believed that someone(s) had entry into the office and had stolen a large quantity of money.
OPP would like to remind the public to report any suspicious activity, vehicles or persons in and around residences or businesses. The OPP ask anyone with information about this crime or any other crimes contact the North Bay OPP Phone: 705-495-3878.
