(POWASSAN, ON) – Powassan Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on highway 522, Pringle Township, yesterday afternoon at approximately 2:25 pm.
A motorcycle was travelling southbound when it left the roadway, hitting a rock cut.
The 45 year old male driver from North Bay, Ontario, was transported to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation with the assistance of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit.
Other emergency service that responded was the Restoule Fire Department.
Alcohol was not a factor.
