On Wednesday, September 17, at approximately 2:10 am, officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 61, north of Arthur Street. The driver of a 2005 Chevrolet Corvette was south bound on Highway 61 when the driver averted his attention from the roadway momentarily, lost control of his vehicle and collided with a light post standard.
The driver and lone occupant was not injured. The vehicle sustained extensive damage. The 37 year old male driver from Thunder Bay was charged with Careless Driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
