(MADOC, ONTARIO) On Thursday, August 29, 2013, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Professional Standards Bureau (PSB) arrested and charged an officer in relation to thefts and fraud that occurred between June 15 and August 29, 2013.
Provincial Constable Wayne BURROWS, 53, a 30-year member of the OPP has been charged with:
theft under $5000
Fraud Under $5000 and
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
He was released on a Promise to Appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville on September 26, 2013.
He was posted to the Napanee OPP Detachment and was on-duty at the time of the incident. He has been suspended from duty with pay in accordance with the Police Services Act.
